My local Tesco store has reduced their Christmas lights to-day.
Among them are Tesco own brand sets of LED (white/clear). They are in two sets, one is a 100 bulb set at £6. and the other is a 240 bulb set at £11.25.
These LEDs are 3mm size and work out at 6p each for the 100, and 4.7p each for the 240.
They are rated at 2.2v 0.15w for the ones in the 100 set, and 2.2v 0.12w in the 240 set.
You also get a 24v plug transformer rated at 22.16 va.
There is plenty of wire between bulbs to split them.
