Great pics and report. Thanks, really interesting stuff.
A recent BBC report featured a wheelchair-bound Chinese man trying to get around Beijing on public transport; generally OK except for the non-working lift down to the metro which was tut-tutted. No mention was made of the London tubes which don't take people in wheelchairs at all. Hope that'll be changed by 2012.
