I asked this question on another forum some time ago but I am still not convinced the lighting on the Heljan 26 is correct.

Going forward at front of loco the 4 small marker lights are lit, at the rear 4 small marker lights are lit plus two high intensity lights.
when going in reverse same configuration appears but on opposite end of loco.

I was under the impression that because the loco was difficult to hear the high intensity lights were fitted to make loco noticeable for safety reasons,therefore should the H.I lights be on at the driver end of the loco.

Should the high intensity lights always be on at the cab end that is leading?

In which case how do you change the cv settings to achieve this.

Any help appreciated
