Did Class 37 diesels in BR Green run in Western Region pulling either Collett or MK1 chocalate & cream coaches?

I suspect not, the 37's were only introduced on the western region on the early 60's and were, I believe mainly confined to freight in the South Wales area. By that time most of the chocolate and cream mk 1's had gone. (they were only used on prestige trains anyway).

Doubtless someone will now prove me wrong.

I think you're spot on. There were trials with pairs of green 37's in the 60's geared for 100mph running to work the Padd - Swansea services. It couldnt have been viable because Hymeks were used until the class 47's came on stream.

The coaches would probably have been marroon.
