I have got a class 60 "Steadfast" and i cant open it to convert it to DCC please help as I would like to convert in on the 28th in the morning (GMT) All help welcomed the amount doesnt matter.
Most Lima had the body clipped to the chassis. Either use your fingernails between body and chassis, or a slim blade taking care not to damage the lower edge of the body; then pull the body side outwards, and with a little jiggling the chassis comes free. If it is stubborn, small pieces of card to hold the bodysides away from the clips can free your hands to persuade the body and chassis to part.
As above but sometimes I think Lima had a clip on the front of the loco aswell!. If I were you mate when you have prised one side off the loco put a thin piece of card between the bodyshell and chassis so it doesn't clip back on again!.
Hope this helps.
