Nothing British. Remember that a working mechanical trapdoor also requires the building or bridge with mechansism to operate the trap which Rovex Triang Hornby of course did provide. I cannot ever recall seeing anything European so you may have to look to the USA. Rovex designers did like their mechanical working toys and it is a design skill that now seems to have been lost as the world has gone electronic.

I wonder how todays designers would design a Corgi James Bond Aston Martin ejector seat?

And would it be possible to apply DCC technology to a hopper wagon?

FLM do quite a few although they are side dischange, other numbers are ;

5510, 5521, 5514, 5515, 5516 & 5517 - these are long wheelbase (overall length 122mm) 2 -axel wagons.
5525 & 5526 - these are medium length (overall length 133mm) 4 - axel wagons.
5521 & 5523 - these are high capacity (overall length 144mm) 4 -axel wagons.

They use the 6482 unloading ramp or 6485 unloading track - the operations are completly mechanical.

They all have close couplings & NEM pockets so changing couplings is not a problem.
