I noticed the 2 star rating on the O gauge shunter.
What you cant really get a feel for in the pictures is the quality of the casting. I have seen some very poor resin models being sold for £250+. i dont know what the shunters castings are like but you cant really judge it buy the pictures.

Also the model has no interior. now on a OO model that would probably be fine but in O gauge you are really going to notice that.

With regards to the running they can only review it on the performance of the sample model and they stated in the review that one of the wheels was wobly and it didnt run properly.

while i dont wish to defend model rail (i too regularly disagree with their reviews especially when they are poorly conducted) i could understand why a model like that would only be given 2 stars.

Is the deatil good- no it has no interios
does it run well - no
is it value for money - thats a matter for your opinion but i expect some metal for £150

I remember a very diplomatic review for a class 67 kit in BRM a few years ago. it took me about 20 mins to stop laughing.

you are right.
"delightful" "appeal" "charmer" are alot more upbeat than "original livery" "novel construction method" "interesting running qualities" "fascinating wheel geometry"...!!

"No, I'm sorry IMHO (& based on actual experience) Royal Mail is the most incompetent organisation that we have no choice to deal with. However, they are pretty good at delivering unsolicitored & unwanted unaddressed mail though - maybe they make more money out of that than performing their primary & statatory function !"

If you call them and askl not to get all the junk mail then they dont give it to you.

Royal mail is very good and if you dont like it then there is always fedex. you DO have a choice to deal with them.

To sent a letter anywhere in the UK is less than 30p. (we all seem to take that for granted these days)
You really dont know how good you have go it.
if it was a fiver then you would have good cause to complain. but if you are not satisfied then use another company to send your loco's.

i cant believe this is turning into a debate on royal mail.

no i dont work for them in any way shape or form. but i do have freinds living in a place where they dont get their mail because of the colour of their skin. i have another living in a place where she wont get here mail withought the government reading it first and often they will just get a note saying the letter has been refused delivery by the government. i have another where the mail plane only arrives once evry 2 weeks.

my atitude to your comments is that you should grow up.
you simply dont know how good you have got it.
