Dear friends.

After some derangements in our plans (COVID, canceled shows, etc), we will exhibit again at the Modell-Hobby-Spiel 2022 in Leipzig (Germany) from Friday 20 September to Sunday 2 October. Consolidated Nickel will be one of the invited layouts at the stands of the Bundesverband Deutscher Eisenbahn-freunde e.V.

Sincerely,
Mad Doc & Nickel Queen

Dear modeling friends.

Despite some last-day gastrointestinal problems, we managed to leave to Leipzig (full of the necessary medicines) on time for the stand installation of Thursday 2 September.

The organization of the Leipziger Messe is always top-notch. Exhibitors were housed in a business-level hotel next to the fairgrounds; parking for exhibitors was just outside the halls, which were heated and fully lighted even during the installation and dismantling operations. And (highly uncommon), the required tables and chairs were already available at our stand (no time lost to drag furniture from distant depots to the stand, as is usually the case). And, the tables were left available even during the dismantling operation.

We were guests of the BDEF, which had reserved for us a very large stand, with an extremely useful lockable cabin, where we could store our usual not-so-nice-to-see mass of tools, spare parts and ancillary stuff.
The show registered 76,000 visitors over 3 days. Typically, on Friday the qualified visitors arrived, while on saturday and Sunday, families made up the majority of visitors.

Due to the excellent logistics, we managed to install our layout in 7 hours, and dismantle the stand in 3 hours, which are record fast times.

The personnel of the renowned ModellEisenBahner magazine contacted us on Friday, and on Saturday 1 October, they did a comprehensive photo shooting of Consolidated Nickel. They will publish an article; back home, we supplied them with our documents relevant to techniques of construction, history of the layout, etc.

Overall, the Modell-Hobby-Spiel 2022 was a nice experience. Also, 3 days of exhibition allow to dilute the fatigue of installation and dismantling, better than in the case of the usual 2-day weekend fair routine.
