I´ve a mixture of Fleischmann and Minitrix container wagons, however the containers are not the same size in height and width. The F versions seem wider and higher. What are the correct sizes for 20ft and 40ft containers in N gauge? If you have the prototype dimensions then please post those and I´ll just divide by 160.

thanks

The prototype veries too! Height is usually either 8'6" or 9'6" and width is 8'. Swap bodies look similar to containers but are not stackable, they can be wider (2.6m is typical).

Are they the ones with the 4 thin legs that can extend downwards? I think the F versions are based on these. Thanks for the info.

Swap bodies often, but not always, have folding legs so the road trailer can be driven out from underneath them.
