Dapol have released images of the "First Shot" model of their new N gauge M7 loco. Dapol say that there is still extra detail to be added to the body (rivets etc) and they plan to increase upwards the position of the coal in the bunker, but, in general terms, everything is where it should be. The finished model will have Blackened wheels and rods etc. The model will feature in-cab detail but according to Dapol it is difficult to show it at the moment with the Black plastic finish.
Dapol have also completed the assembly, spraying and initial printing of their new N gauge 'Dogfish' wagon and have released images. Dapol plan on a release of 10 differently numbered units for the Warley show at the NEC permitting modellers to achieve a totally accurate rake. This would be a first from any ready to run manufacturer.
