I will need to hardwire some Decoders to non DCC Ready loco that I have. I was wondering which Soldering Kit people would recommend for this as the current one I have is quite big with a large tip

I have two Antex soldering irons, an XS25 and an SD50, the latter being connected to a thermostatically controlled soldering station. The XS25 is, as Richard says, an excellent iron and comes with a 3 mm bit as standard which is what I tend to use for most jobs though, as I work in N Gauge, I do have 2.3 mm, 1.0 mm and 0.5 mm for finer jobs.
