DCC Information

I have a Lenz Compact system. I have just purchased a Bachmann Class 20 with sound. The instructions say shunting speed can be turned on by pressing F7 FUNCTION BUTTON. The compact will only go to F4. Is there anyway to switch on the shunting function with this unit.

This does clearly illustrate that when going for a DCC system you should aim to buy a system which has as many features as possible. There's nothing wrong with the Compak but it is a base level system.

I think it's fair to say that the Compact was not a bad entry level system in it's day.

Like all things technical in time you will get more for the same money or the same for less money.
