Thanks for the info Doug - potentially an interesting day for those who can make it.

More detail to follow in due course I am sure but will there be any presence/representation from the DCC key players ie Lenz, Digitrax, Zimo, ECoS, ESU, NCE etc?

Three more manufacturers are on board for the DCC Live event:

Ontracks are expecting the Marklin & Trix demonstrations to be presented by Marklin Technical Director, Dieter Lorentz, who is flying over from Germany for the event - another unique opportunity for local modellers to meet a industry famous name.

Separately, Ontracks will have on sale the Activity Media Right Track DCC DVDs, Activity Media have also kindly offered a full set of all 10 DVDs as a Competition Prize draw for the event.

Still, strange that none of the really big players will be there, as Geoff pointed out. Hardly a level playing field without ESU, NCE, Lenz, Zimo or Digitrax there. I guess ontracks don't stock those brands.

It would be interesting with MaTrix and ESU considering the issues that they have had.

What will be interesting is how well the Hornby system compares to the rest. Of all their general out of the box performance is probably the worst.

Roco will probably steal the show with the opening doors on the passenger coaches!

Good to see that happening but I also agree some of the really big names are missing. I am in 2 minds about Hornby being a leading player, they make great trains coaches etc but their dcc is in my opinion is very poor quality. Also they have only being doing this for 2 years or so.

Anyway it sounds positive and Im sure it will bring some new fresh blood into our hobby.
