Hey guys, Im creating a dumbell layout (ends are reversing on themselves) and wondered if there was any advice on how to wire it in DCC. All of the track is live and I was thinking that isolating the return loop at one end would reverse the current when I have installed the DCC reversing module. Does that reverse all of the other locos? Additionally, do I need another reversing module at the other end dumbell (track isolated over the module)?

Any help much appreciated.

Doug VMT. I think Ill adopt your scheme as I will be doing most of my shunting etc in the middle whilst I want at least one train in motion on the main line.

My layout is L-shaped with the dumbells at the extremities of the straight sides, and is going to be an S+D/SR pastiche- hopefully! Anyway, it's just survived a house move and is currently being re- set up and added to as time and funds allow.

Thanks for the advice.

Dave

QUOTE (Doug @ 18 Jan 2008, 17:01) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Perhaps, but my layout has all the stations and yards in the middle section. I can have a couple of trains running on the dog-bone mainline whilst I pass the time shunting in one of the yards. The extra reversing unit takes out any chance of a problem. All the track in the green section below has the same polarity: Red at the front, Black to the back.
