Not heard of any DCC scale Speedos? But that doesnt mean they dont exist.

How does the DCC unit determine if a layout is N, 00, O or G scale? All have differing scale speeds but all can be operated on a DCC system! What about differing loco motors/gears giving differing final drives? e.g. Setting a speed of say 18 for loco 1 might be half again as fast for loco 2 etc.

Tonys Train Exchange sell Speedo units but these work on a measure distance of track being monitored. Tony's Train Exch

I have located this supplier who has two types available, this link shows the cheaper version Speedo
It appears there are train detcetion sensors needed to be fitted between the rails (Infared sensors I guess?)
