Doug,

The original monochrome ECoS is the 50000, not the 50100.

The 50100 was the wireless Mobile Control handset which could only work with a base station, it was never a standalone product. This has been replaced by the 50111 EcoSControl Radio which is a cordless handset that will only work with an ECoS or Maerklin CS1 Reloaded.

You might also want to add the ESU Navigator 50300 which is due to launch sometime this year (by the end of March, if you believe the ESU 2010 Price List).

If you want to be complete perhaps you should include the ZTC 505 the reduced functionality version of the 511 under teh existing list. That's what I started with.

NCE wireless. Unfortunately it doesn't work on this side of the world.

Interesting to see that the NCE power/procab seems to the favoured flavour!

Tony - there are many, many modelers using NCE radio in the UK and Europe... it works fine that side of the world :).

Actually its one of those things that shows the sillyness of CE sometimes... Because the regulation sensibly focusses on the prevention of interference/nuisance where things shouldn't create it, it is actually no problem at all for an owner to use it... as it gives NO interference to anything.

However as its not CE approved (and expensive to get done) it IS a problem for a UK retailer to sell it.... because if he does he may be fined.

Regards

Richard

I have an interesting DCC setup, and probably not that common!

I have an ECoS as my main controller (Although it has been boxed up since may 08 due to major layout work, apart from a brief spell out to write the review for the hornby sound duchess), with the wireless mobile control add on. I then use a ZTC 505 through the sniffer port to run the goods yard on the far side of the layout. I also use MERG accessory decoders and will probably update to CBUS soon.

I then have a NCEPower cab for useas a programming device only, as I often do DCC work away from the layout room.

As mentioned, there are two NCE systems. if you are keeping them merged, then you might as well merge lots of others listed and the point of the exercise becomes a bit fuzzy.
For example, the Lenz Set 90 and Set 100 are the same system, with the only difference being the handsets, where as the NCE systems, although fully integrated, are more different than the Lenz pair.

Also the current arrangement doesn't differentiate between those who want to buy either NCE system and NCE PowerCab owners who want to upgrade to a PowerHouse Pro.

Should Roco be split too, into LokMaus and MultiMaus?

Also missing are....
Digitrax Super Empire Builder
Lenz Compact
The Veissmann Commander is also sold in the UK as well as the CT Elektronik system.

As Doug said, if it's missing let him know and he'll add it so you can then come back later and vote for it. That's what he did with the ZTC 505 for me.

I have an Uhlenbrock Intellibox. The CT Elektronik has been sold for a couple of years by both DCC Supplies and Digitrains, so there must be people out there who have one. If I were buying a new system I would certainly consider it. The Viessmann seems to me in many ways desirable.
