Got Hornby Western Pullman DCC set as Christmas present.now having Trouble with the trains .neither of them workhave tried reprograming them when I do this the little red light flashes eight times.Also brought Brittiania 'Forth of Tay'put in hornby decoder it worked allrighht until weekend now will only go in one direction if i take the decoder out and turn it round the loco goes in opposite direction

Remove the Select from the layout and hook it up to a clean section of track and try the locos on that. It could be that your track and wheels are dirty and need a clean. Locos will do funny things on dirty track or if they have dirty wheels.

I have had similar problems, you could try reprogramming the loco'a but give them a different address number, it worked for me, don't know why though.

Guess i should have said that that both hornby locos had reset themselves to address 3 but untill i reset the select i couldn't reprogram the loco's...
