Detailing MK3 Coaches
Hi all, I am new to this site so I will say hello to everyone, I do not have a layout at the moment, Had to take it down. But I am modeling BR in the 80's. But I have a set of Hornby MK3 coaches in Midland Main line livery, I like it. What I would like some advice on is some detailing I wish to do with them.
I would like to tint the window ( why Hornby don't do this I have no idea ), As anyone tried to do this if so how did you do it and what did you use and where did you get it from?.
I also wish to put the disc brakes on the wheels I know they do them but can not remember where to get them from. Any ideas?.
Does anyone know what colour the gangway doors are, I have seen them in grey I think when I have passed the Leeds depot but not sure if all are that colour.
As anyone tried to put different coupling on them to give a more realistic look, It so what did you use?.
