Has anyone built or seen a class 31 kit from DJH in 7mm scale. I am intending on buying one soon and would like to know
what people think about it. I have been told that it is a really really good kit and is highly detailed.
Would anyone recommend it?

Hi, I built the RJH version a few years back for a friend and I think the DJH one is similar but now has a two piece body in pewter. I do not think it a hard kit to build if you know diesels well, but for a steam builder it was dificult at times to workout what went where. The finished model on the DJH site looks very good and ideal for the early years of the new image after steam.

If you have built etched brass wagon or a steam loco you should have no trouble building it.

DJH is going to be easier to build than the RJH one as the RJH ones are much older design and don't have any tabs to aid construction. The preformed main parts on the DJH one will remove a lot of headaches about shape.
Apparrently the entire shell is one piece pewter cast - thats gonna cost in the post i guess !!
