Your photos got me to thinking about the shape of the land before the coming of the railway to Dover. How much chalk was hewn from Shakespeare Cliff and the Dover Priory massif and where did all that spoil go? Perhaps used in the construction of the harbour and Dover Marine?

That's is some really nice progress... I can see each step though the thread showing new stuff, differences in approach and technique etc and that makes it fascinating to watch things evolve. Looking forward to the next steps....
Do you have a close up photo of the signal that's on the newly completed sea section of line ? the one close to the sea wall in the photo above plus any detection fittings on the line ? if not you will need your coat and camera....

Thanks for your time and comments, dwb & J.
Very little done for nearly a year.
Monday last,I stabilized the cliffs,by drilling holes in the b/b under frame and inserting 15 inch Poundland barbecue skewers up and into the foam sections.
I notice the track, in the picture, taken from above, seems to be a mixture of the old [with the inclusion of the siding] and the recent repairs [with the smooth curves] - a truly electric eclectic scene! All that is needed is the replacement footbridge and a few orange suits ....... "back to the Future" gone "Loco"!
Regards
J
PS. It's really good to see new pictures of the DP ............ might even inspire me to get on with a few more bits on my train set.

. Now if only Network Rail would copy you and get their supplies from Poundland maybe their projects would come in on budget.

QUOTE (Richard Johnson @ 3 Aug 2017, 07:59) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>*** I truly love the sense of real world scale in those pictures.
Lovely to see you back too David.
Can I borrow a bit of your Mojo? I seem to do nothing but work these days and a little modelling added in would be nice LOL.
I look forward to seeing you again one day soon. Give me a call if you are thinking of heading North.
cheers -
Richard
Thank you all for your kind words and taking the time to post.
I really don't know where the time goes.
Missed a couple of wed. nights, but playing catch up, Lofty has only two panels to complete, then I may well ballast.
