*** Hi David - It really is looking excellent.

Its all evolving so well and consistently that I have no doubt where the time is going at all.

Anyway - Time doesn't matter at all - just don't lose that very determined and focussed vision that you have... the layout is becoming quite special.

We should send you some Legacy ballast samples to have a play with... I think you may like it :) :).

Drop me a line when U get a moment (and hopefully we can also say hi and have another coffee at the NEC during Warley this year)

kind regards

How many different types of bush / grass clumps have you used?

I suspect it's all the different colours and textures that are contributing to the overall effect.

For some reason, am unable to get the U Tube screen to show on this post.

So, here is a link.

The last panel of vegetation has been completed on the cliffs, we start on ballast, also finishing the twin tunnel, the cliff section at Archcliffe Fort the start of the 10 chain curve.

above is the top left of the plan

above is the bottom right of the plan, the dover 10 chain curve

Above is bottom centre of the plan Dover town Yard to be revised...

above are few Santa presents of local collieries near to dover. One of these went for £20.03p
on ebay today, you can buy a new release ltd edition from greg in Ashford for £10.50p !!

The rest of the photos can wait till morn..ing...its that now !! Have to be up for my mate Pete the Parcels (ROYAL mail).
TO TAKE DELIVERY of code 60 for the 3rd rail.......and a Richards cobalt template fixing thingy...

That'all for now Folks night
Would these images be reasonable to get back, if they are not the end of the world

half the layout plan showing the well down to the Dover 10 chain curve

the other half of the plan showing on the left Shakespeare tunnel,on the right Priory tunnel(into the meter cupboard).

This is the Dover o/s map, shewing the Dover 10 chain curve, Hawkesbury st.Jnt. Town yard,
ferry terminal and roads leading off the page southish to Dover (Marine)Western Docks Stn.
The plan i found in Dover library ref. section i was huge,up to Priory Stn and nearly to Folkestone.
Due to copywrite laws I was only allowed 1 a4 section, hence what you see is what I got..
But I have someone on the case to try and complete the picture.......
Oh, almost forgot...all the track work you see here was lifted in 1995ish,what remain is the10 chain curve, with a kink at
the top where the junction was.
All the main lines now have been relaid in the past 2 years and all the cliff tunnels re-lined (twice !!)..
I Think if you google Saxon Shore Way,you should see recent photo of the main line Dover To Folkestone..Very expensive
Bit of track........
Next instalment...maybe ...When The Kendal Mintcake, invasion of the PENGUINS or Pete the Parcels Awakens me....
I suspect these are not Toddy’s picture but links lost to items he linked to, but again if it is possible I would be grateful
The images seem to be Photobucket, who made usage available, only, if subscribed. Lots of peoples images disappeared, as a result.

I agree.
The post contains a valid link to photobucket. When I use the link directly in my browser I get the same image. So the data in the post on this forum is complete but Photo bucket are
  • Not serving the image because it is no longer there.
  • Not serving the image because the person who uploaded does not have enough privileges to make it publicly available.

Sadly unless the original uploader has a copy stashed away somewhere else, the photo is gone and lost forever :(.

Hi David / Jaz,
That’s a real shame if they are lost, maybe DT does have a “secret” stash in the Wilds of Kent ?
The Threads included so many wonderful images too - and it’s quite sad when you now see the “blank” spaces; as is the case on some other Forums too.
Suppose you live and learn eh .....
Cheers Norm

We learnt a long time ago to rely on our own, we pay iCloud but I back up on my devices, however I am now into tens of thousands of pictures, so hopefully we won’t get a serious issues gulps, I have stored loads on the bigger memory sticks, but with modelling gardening and the arboretum and animals our photographs are immense.
I suspect David has a secret stash I need to wait until he returns home, as I won’t bother him he is visiting his mum, then I’ll corner him lol
