That was a bit hard on Scotland to be singled out for howling wind and rain. Don't forget the steady drip - drip of the rain in Wales or the melodious sound of birdsong in England (interrupted by sirens and occasional gunfire). Then we have the roar of jets over Heathrow and Gatwick, the traffic noise on the motorways, the rhythmical swishing noises from the windfarms.........I think I shall have to emigrate to New Zealand.
