Hi people.

The majority of my collection is late German epoch II period. However some of the stock is marked up Epoch III. I'd like to replace the DB markings with DRG. Can anyone recommend a supplier of good quality decals?

I did try altering the DB to DR, but it looked crap. So I've now started removing the DB lettering with brake fluid, just need smething to replace them with...
Have you tried printing your own decals?
Nope, but I wouldn't mind having a go. Any chance of a write-up on how to do it...?

Try TL Decals A German company which manufactures DRG roundels and Reichs Adler in both HO & N. I think they can be obtained from the German Rail Society, try visiting there stand at one of the bigger shows, or visit www.tl-decals.com

The German Rail Society are listed to appear at the Warley show this weekend.

Mr. Blunden has tips on printing your own decals on his Ebay guide page. http://tinyurl.com/259l2u
The only problem would be finding images to print.
I'll give that a try. Thanks...
Just ordered several sets from them. However I'm surprized they're made by a german manufacturer...
Decals arrived today. They look good. I'll try them out tomorrow on my repainted BR50...

Tried out the TL-Decals this morning on one of my BR-50's. I think the tender markings are too big and might replace them with a smaller set...

All round, the decals are pretty good. Unfortunatlly, due to German law, they only acuratly reflect pre 1937 markings, so they're not truely acurate for this loco and the time period...

Contrary to popular belief, Wehrmacht engines did NOT carry the swastika emblems. Those were limited to engines within the boundaries of Germany.

On those very rare occasions where they had been applied to a field grey engine, they were placed on the cab underneath the side windows (like on most other engines that carried the swastika eagle at the time; only exception are the shrouded engines, such as clsses 01.10, 03.10, 19) and not on the tender.

Most war engines solely carried the necessary technical inscriptions in very fine writing, plus the engine number stencilled on the front, both sides of the cab, and the Tender. Many did not even carry a "Deutsche Reichsbahn" inscription on the cab.

The only class 50 engines to be painted field - and later tank - grey were the 50ÜKs, btw, not the regular ones.
Lack of research on my behalf. Thanks for the info, buddy.

I've already changed the loco. The 'Deutsche Reichsbahn' inscription has moved onto the cab side and the smoke defectors are gone. I'd like to find some decals for the technical data for the tender side.

Again, if any knows of a supplier, I'd be most greatful...
This would probably explain why my Trix Wehrmacht Grey 44 just has simple stencilled numbers & no swastika emblems - a bit more info' - hope this helps a little.
Following Me26-06's comments, I've reworked the loco...

That looks better, something wasn't right on the first attempt.

Regards
Next step is to replace the cab side numbers and tender data lettering.

I've had a couple of goes with letraset and hand paintng, but both looked crap. Is there a set of decals out there I could use...?
