Does anyone know where I can get sitting Driver figures for the cabs in my locos that I am opening as I convert to DCC?
I'm not after total authenticity - just something reasonable.
Many Thanks

I take it that you are modelling 00/diesel ?

Have a look at some of the Preiser & Noch figures, being HO & a tad smaller than OO, you may find them easier to fit. Have a look at the Gaugemaster website. If you don't want many we may have a few "strays" you could have. Send me a PM if we can help.

Brian,
Yes I am doing OO/Diesel + DMU (plus a couple of preserved steam specials!...oh and Battle Space)
I can see there is plenty of choice for the steam guys, but I couldn't find any seated drivers on The Gaugemaster site.
Some of my (Bachmann) diesels have drivers already and I am slowly working through my fleet of 40 adding DCC, Lights where possible...and Drivers.
Many thanks for your kind offer. As you can see, I really need quite a few though!
I couldn't see any seated Preiser Drivers - it seems a shame to have to cut one in half...
Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil,

I also searched for sitting loco driver figures a lot with no luck.
Plenty of stand up figures.
At the end of the day the only solution was to chop off the legs unfortunately

Here is how they look in my lectric 1043:

Wiking make a relatively cheap set of a 10 'tractor drivers' in HO. They are in a sitting position and are made out of a bendy plastic, so can be fit into all sorts of seats. Half are wearing dark blue, the other half dark green.

http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/wik/wik1604.htm shows what they look like.

Don't know what catalogue you have but the 2006/7 one we have just had delivered direct from Roco does not show them - have you got that cat no. by any chance please ?
The Roco drivers are mainly for steam locos as far as I know.

They come from waist up with a protruding part below the waist for glueing just below the cab window.

Brian,

They come in 6 drivers in a pack.

I've checked the box, there is one barcode number and 40001 (3x). Hope this is of any help.

Thanks Baykal - they are on page 205 of the 2006/7 catalogue with a RRP of 6.70 euro.

Just thought of another possibility - the Fleischmann driver as fitted to some Diesel/OHE locomotives - he may be available as a spare part - only thing is that he is era 4/5 & has a collar & tie !

Just remembered - Preiser do a set of unpainted seated half figures, I don't know exactly what's in the set but I feel sure that some could be used.
