Dynamis Functions

Hi, I up untill recentally I have been using a Hornby Select and it has worked fine for a basic controller. I have up-graded to a Bachmann 36-505 DYNAMIS Controller. But I cannot get any of my locos headlights to work! When using a Bachmann (36-554) 21-pin chip with the lights set to F0. But The DYNAMIS will not access F0! Only F1 to F20. Can I programme a CV to allocate F1 to headlights or is there an other way to overcome this problem? I can programme everything else, ACC, DEC Etc on any Hornby or Bachmann Loco but no lights will work on any Loco! My Hornby select will function lights OK, why not the DYNAMIS! Bachmann state on there 36-554 service sheet that loco lights turn on and off usually F0 0r F10 0n EZ Command, No functiom from 1 to 20 will opperate the lights. Am I missing something here?

Anyone else have this problem? Please Help.

Regards
David

Hi

Have you tried pressing the button in the bottom left with the lights symbol? I pulled my Dynamis out last week for a quick play and also forgot about that button. From what your telling us all other functions work except for directional lights.

Give that a try and see how you go.

Don't know much about the Dynamis but is the speed setting on the Dynamis set to either 28 or 128 speed steps ? . Sometimes, if a controller is set to 14 or 27 speed steps (not so common these days) the locos will run but the lights either don't work at all or go on & off as the speed increases/decreases.

I feel silly now, how did I miss the light button it's so obvious. Needless to say the lights now work. I will look out for the speed step/lights if I ever have that issue.

Thanks for the replys Chaps
Many Thanks
