As you can tell from my username my name is Laurie. I joined some time ago and made a few posts but haven't been active here recently. Anyway I though I ought to introduce myself.
Modelling wise I have an interest in all scales and prototypes however my real favourite is blue diesels as they were a formative influence on me. I vividly recall being within touching distance of a peak hammering down the ECML some time in the mid eighties. The HST is also a particular favourite, one of my earliest memories being journeys on them up to Edinburgh from York where I still live.
I wen't for an interview as a guard once but the interviewer thought I had too romantic a view of the railway and actually he was right, fortunatly I now have a job in the rail industry as a simulation engineer in a consulting firm.
anyway I am sure you have better things to do than read my waffle, go do some modelling !
