I'm quite dissapointed i am working this weekend and i am not going to be able to go.
I know they have worked really hard to increase their trade attendance and they are trying to turn it into more of a winter finescale show.

I really wish them the best of luck with this one. i hope it goes well.

That's a shame Peter, it would've been great to meet you again, still I feel sure our paths will cross again.

QUOTE (pedromorgan @ 27 Jan 2008, 10:47) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>so how did it go? i heard it was a very good show but a little quiet on the sunday.

Peter

Very good show & many excellent layouts. good selection of traders & well organised. Nice to meet a few forum members too.

Yes, Sunday seemed a little quiet but it can be diffecult to tell either running a layout or with the sales stand. Still, we did get both the layout & sales stand packed up & ready to leave in 2 hours with some help from the club members - thanks a lot guys.

St.Laurent behaved itself very well - the only real problem was when the bus managed to hit one of the crossing barriers (must be the Belgian Beer the bus driver drinks) & before I could do anything about it got clobbered by a train writing off the barrier. As we have replaced the barriers several times now (often the victim of pointing fingers & once the victim of BRITHO) it looks like we will just have flashing lights - not quite correct, but far less hassel.

Next outing for St.Laurent is Brighton Model World 15 > 17th February - I'll post full details later.

Mea culpa (cor latin as well),

a good show (what little I saw) I missed out on one item as I was chained to the sales stand, but Brian did pick up some attractive Trix tankers.
