This seems to be a notice that they are improving the ECoS user forum to increase support for the English language community. This happens to day so it will be interesting to see what the developments are?
Well I'm having difficulty finding out. These pescky password managers have prevented me getting access. I'll have to try later on the laptop or my work computer.
Finally got in Neil, there appears to be 2 sections and they are still in German! Each time I press the GB button it reverts back to the home page. Cant say I am impressed.

I saw that but thought that was allyou could see as an unregistered user. I thought that to see the entire forum you would have to have signed in.
I was able to get in. I've changed my password to something more memorable and the Forum knows it's me because it has my user name and says welcome back in German.... and everything else is in German too. I didn't bother looking for any forum topics.
Have been trying 2hrs to register using old user name etc., entered access key sent to me but all to no avail.
Have emailed ESU.
Will be interesting to see if I get reply.
It was all a cunning plan by ESU to get rid of the English speakers!!!!
Knowing how these things work (or, more usually, don't work!), it might have taken them longer than they intended to set it all up and get your usernames and passwords registered/transferrred. I would suggest patience and perseverance - keep trying periodically until something breaks.
I have tried again using the laptop and am getting the same problem. There is a password already entered in the screen, when I delete it and put my password in, it adds whatever the old one was to it. I have ended up emailing them.
It says on their website that they are closed till 7/1/09. Great.
*** I copied the password from my email, logged onto the ESU website, clicked on the english flag, added my name and password to the boxes at the top of the ESU home page and was taken right to the form to change password. did that and all is good first time with no problem - the only "error" to me as an english speaker was that the confirmation screen said in German "They have successfully changed password".
I can get in alright and it says welcome back but there is no sign of how to access the forums, merely 2 subjects all in german. When using the search option no subjects can be found. Maybe teutonic efficiency is not what it seems.

That was exactly my experience. I cut and pasted from the email because I didn't trust myself / couldn't be bothered to get all those unusual characters right.

That was exactly what I did too but it wouldn't let me in. The website kept adding another password after I had pasted the copied new password.

It just tells me that someone already has that username and won't let me in.
Ian
I reregistered but with my old sign in details. It seemed to let me do that.

Exactly what I did but just won.t let me in.
This may be a silly question, but where do you log in.
All I see is in top right corner. I put user name and password, there is only a choice of REGISTER or FORGOTTEN PASSWORD.
I click register, I get the registration form every time.
One can only fill it in so many times before it gets boring.
