I'm thinking about buying a ESU Ecos system. In preparation of this I went thru a lot of info on the internet and one thing still remains unclear. From some information I got the impression, that programming of a 4 digit address in DCC is only possible by programming CV17, CV18 and CV29 separate. The manual I downloaded is also not very clear on this subject. I know that with Digitrax you just simply choose to prgram 2 or 4 digit addresses. Is it indeed correct there is no easier way of programming 4 digit addresses or am I missing something.
PS any other remarks on the system is also appriciated.
On mine I just enter the 4 digit address code ans as long as the decoder supports 4 digits the ECoS accepts it . It is that simple, unless I am missing something.
