ESU lok programmer am needing some advice

You can get plain sound files from the ESU website but if you want to add extra sounds, you need to edit the sound project and add the sound segment (WAV files) in. I need to do something similar for by D600 - it has the ESU V200 project, but I want to change the horns and brakes. Just haven't got around to it and people tend not to put useful sound clips online like that and if they do, there's usually a dog or some other unhelpful background noise!

F0-AUX1
F1-Boiler noise
F2-Volume control
F3-Blower
F4-Injector
F5-Klaxton
F6-Guards whistle
F7-Workshop noise
F8-Water tower
F9-Steam drain cocks
F10-Fade sound.
The volume control just reduces the volume by 5 notches and the fade sound does what it says which might be better.
F0 with work lights or power via AUX1
Everything is adjustable through CV's depending on your controller as most will only go up to CV255.

Neil, at Wheel Tappers Sounds is very helpful and has other sounds, too.

I have noticed recently that in EU LALA land they have started selling sound decoders without motor control maybe you may be able to find other sounds to download whether they are MP3 or MP4 or some other formatt
I did buy a few years ago an Uhlenbrock Mp3 sound recorder Device but I have not got round to using it. Babs

I think the best way to do this is to download some free sound files from the internet, this is what I did. Files like farmyard noises, birds singing, rippling stream(if you have river/ water on your layout)
Mix them together on some free sound editing software and make a loop, download the finished file onto a usb stick and play it through a small cheap sound system with speakers under the layout to give general background noise. in my case, I even distributed the sound to left and right channels so the farm sounds would be more noticeable to the left where the farm will be situated.
