So i decided to update the software on my ESU Mobile Control II and it kept failing with the following error "Parse error There was a problem parsing the package" I tried everything i could but i was not able to complete the update until i did the following

1 Factory reset the MCII
2 Install the download to the default location on the C drive on my windows 10 PC
3 Disable wifi on the MCII while the update was installed.

I did install the update in the default language as the MCII when factory reset returns back to German so i just ran the update and once complete i changed it back to English.

It is now updated to the latest version.

I hope this helps any one else who has any issues updating the MCII.

I wonder what version mine is at? I bought it in summer last year which is quite a lot later than the date stamp on the package I can see on the ESU website. I had thought that it could only be updated through the Google play store.

Interesting that you can change the delay on direction change. Changing direction is tricky on mine using the knob, so maybe I have the old version after all.

One tip: Don't update other packages from the Google play store while trying to run trains. The download really seems to eat CPU power and timely control of trains is difficult.

Hi David,

I agree about the Google store updates they do indeed slow the MCII down significantly.

As i purchased my MCII quite a while after you purchased yours you are definitely on an older version than mine was before i updated.
