Farish Class 44 Query

A mate of mine has bought a new Farish class 44 (44008 Penyghent) and was wondering if it should have been supplied with headcode discs as there are none on the loco and none in the packaging?

Any help appreciated!

Hi Screwy,

I'm a steam man so do not have any personal experience but there is no mention of Head Code discs for the Class 44 on the GF web site so I guess they are not included. Other types, such as the Class 40, are specified with Head Code boxes but, as near as I can tell, none actually come with the discs.

Sounds like a case for DIY detailing.
