Hi Screwy,
I'm a steam man so do not have any personal experience but there is no mention of Head Code discs for the Class 44 on the GF web site so I guess they are not included. Other types, such as the Class 40, are specified with Head Code boxes but, as near as I can tell, none actually come with the discs.
Sounds like a case for DIY detailing.
