Dog Dog breed Carnivore Companion dog Fawn

I broke my rule painting the dog on the right from memory / imagination, was not impressed use a photo reference for the spaniel effect, vast improvement so repeated

I could have carved the metal work between the legs out but weakened the model, so tried various colours to make it less conspicuous

Some great modelling there Linka. Love the Doctor Who stuff. A good friend is about to 3D print some 4mm scale daleks and I'll be getting a couple off him later. I currently have a few Doctor Who figures but all are overscale.

Favourite of all your little scenes in the previous photos: the rust-ridden VW camper at the water's edge. 😍

I have this authoritative information from the official BBC book about the Daleks, as developed on Skaro; that their plans for universal domination were initially thwarted by such inconveniences as stairs, and ice or snow on the ground which led to traction difficulties. This was overcome by the 'Hovabout' which made them able to fly, and would eventually be fully integrated into the Dalek machine, final design pending.

Sadly, my Ma long ago donated this invaluable reference paperback to our local Hospital's children's ward, and the BBC must be assumed to have lost their copy, as their frequent regurgitations of the Daleks show no sign of the upgrades that were to come...

I had the book by Terry Nation and various comics which had the Daleks flying around, but the BBC simply didn't have the resources to make them fly in 1963. That didn't happen until 1989!

There was at least one reference to the hoverbot as they ran up stairs thinking they had outrun them they turned in horror and saw them floating up, and I think there was an embassy flight one time, but I agree with the snow and traction
