I don't fancy repairing the X04.
Buying a brand new one is much easier and even cheaper.

I just restored my Triang Pricess Elizabeth with a brand new X04.
I use one Ebay shop which is very realiable and can find lots of new
spares for old stuff.

They continue to supply new X04 motors and some used but fine X04 motors.
I got one via auction at only 4 pounds + p&p.

I don't bother rewinding and changing magnet etc. Each job will cost you more than 4 quids.
