QUOTE (kevinpea @ 20 Nov 2008, 20:02) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hi
Does anybody out there know anything about the fleischmann fmz system.I use the roco multimaus but I have been offered one of these and am not sure whether it's better or worse.
Thanks
Kevin
No - leave it well alone.
In it's day it was quite an advanced control system (& much to FLM's credit still supported, unlike some other manufacture's) - but additional decoders, in fact everything will cost more.
It is not compatable with NMRA DCC systems (like you Multimaus) which are more prolific. Best thing to do with the FMZ system is to eBay it - FMZ fetches quite good money to people who have invested heavily into it in the past.
Stick with the Multimaus & look at upgrading if you feel the need - there are plenty of cost effective systems out there.
Oh, & welcome to MRF.
