If the loco has an older pancake motor, it may either need a new motor shield (if the shield is completely made of metal), or it may be possible to break some of the conductors to make it suitable for a decoder. A German forum post I found suggests that the 4305 is of the latter type.

This image might help: http://www.hp-pfeiffer.de/digi_umbau1/dcc/..._flm_218_01.jpg

The dark red arrow to the left indicates a contact that needs to be severed. The green arrows up top show RF capacitors that should be removed. All the other arrows show the colour of the decoder wire that needs to be soldered there.

This image shows different Fleischmann motor shields: http://www.hp-pfeiffer.de/digi_umbau1/flei...orschilde01.jpg

If yours looks like one in the leftmost column, then it will need to be replaced. If it shows up in the middle column, you should be able to use the method of severing contacts.

You can get the 430073 with dcc sound factory fitted, so it must be possible.
A few years back I had both my Fleischmann 4033's converted to DCC sound, and although they run OK, I felt they never ran as good as when they were DC only

QUOTE (Andy pandy @ 13 May 2020, 19:30) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>https://www.flickr.com/gp/[email protected]/0BFMHa hope this works I have put a photo of the motor on here regarding connection of a decoder.

Doesn't work for me, I just see a message saying you don't have any public photos.

4305 was made between 1971 and 2002. 43007x models were first made in 2016. They probably have quite different interiors. 4306 (from 2003 on) had a 6-pin digital interface, but 4305 was purely analog.
