Now, I have decided on my point motors, I am researching operating switches

Whilst the layout will be DCC , I prefer to manually ( or semi manually) operate my points rather than thro a decoder.. ( just a personal preference
)

Anyways, Toggle switches just don't light my fire at all.. but I do like the look of these fleischmann switches #6920

I note they make a 3 way version too..

Anyone had any experience of these items ?

Cheers

QUOTE (60134 @ 24 Jun 2007, 19:10) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Fleischmann point switches are good for "soft" motors such as theirs and clip together with common + and - supplies to make large banks of switches.

These are reliable switches albeit not cheap - don't think about using them with point motors such as Peco or H & M - they draw too much current as the contacts are (from memory) 2a - more than enough for most point motors from across the water.

Viessmann also make some useful modular switches www.viessmann-model.de - look at cat nos. 5549 & 5550. If you cannot get either of these locally send me a PM.

Hope this helps.
