As you can see, we're upgrading the forum with the latest version.
The big thing that you will notice is the skin doesn't quite fit. It's is easier to convert the new forum and modify the sking to our old look than it is to take an old skin and try and make it fit the new form as there are quite a few changes.
So please bear with us over the next few days and hopefully things will get back to normal soon.
I like the blue, but I thought I'd logged in to the wrong forum when it first appeared on the screen because I was not expecting it and very nearly hit the X button.
Nice soothing colour, keep it on, or at least as an option if other skins are in the pipeline.
Photobucket has a standard forum picture size of 640x480. the new skin reduces this by 10%.
Is it possible to tweak it slightly so they will fit in without being reduced?
Dunno about the blue. I prefer the old creamy colour...a bit warmer or something...maybe i'm starting to get a bit too set in my ways and resistant to change in my old age.
9 hours later and the upgrade is done. The size of the upgrade required all files to be changes. Skin files (which determine the look and feel of the board) had to be modified from the new files. We couldn't take the old ones and make them fit the new. So there will be a few changes to what you had before.
The Orange is the default and is what any guest or new member will see. Blue is available if you want it. I'll see what the uptake is and decide to keep it or dump it later.
Do members want customisable locomotives up at the top, an image that changes from time to time or a fixed image?
The editors have been revamped. Should be better.
Images were automatically resized. I disabled this as it was resizing my 700 pixel wide images. I didn't think that 700 was too wide. I'll play around with those setting later, but as long as members keep images to a reasonable size, then we won't have to turn on that feature.
I'm discovering new features of version 2.2.2 at the same time as you are. If you have a problem, check out the 'Help' at the top of the page. Otherwise, please don't hesitate to ask.
The forum should be a little more stable, faster and laid out in a more logical manner.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could
be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
