As you can see, we're upgrading the forum with the latest version.

The big thing that you will notice is the skin doesn't quite fit. It's is easier to convert the new forum and modify the sking to our old look than it is to take an old skin and try and make it fit the new form as there are quite a few changes.

So please bear with us over the next few days and hopefully things will get back to normal soon.

I'll get the other colours back in a bit.

BLOGS

I've upgraded the Blogs system.

Please report any errors.

For Blog users, skins have been reset to the default. The old ones had too many discrepancies that would have taken too much time to sort out.

When the new skins are ready, I'll add them and you can select them again.

Regarding skins, I'll leave this blue as an option and put back a yellow / orange one as the default.

9 hours later and the upgrade is done. The size of the upgrade required all files to be changes. Skin files (which determine the look and feel of the board) had to be modified from the new files. We couldn't take the old ones and make them fit the new. So there will be a few changes to what you had before.

The Orange is the default and is what any guest or new member will see. Blue is available if you want it. I'll see what the uptake is and decide to keep it or dump it later.

Do members want customisable locomotives up at the top, an image that changes from time to time or a fixed image?

The editors have been revamped. Should be better.

Images were automatically resized. I disabled this as it was resizing my 700 pixel wide images. I didn't think that 700 was too wide. I'll play around with those setting later, but as long as members keep images to a reasonable size, then we won't have to turn on that feature.

I'm discovering new features of version 2.2.2 at the same time as you are. If you have a problem, check out the 'Help' at the top of the page. Otherwise, please don't hesitate to ask.

The forum should be a little more stable, faster and laid out in a more logical manner.

To remain logged in, your browser has to be able to accept cookies left by the forum. I've tested it on Firefox and IE 7. Perhaps log out & Log in. If that doesn't work. delete the MRF cookie and try again. Should work. If not, please let me know.

I'll work on the locos.

Negative PM messages just mean that the system has deleted some of your deleted messages
Don't worry. It happens sometimes. Should be fine later.

SlotForum is blue and when we did MRF, we thought about changing it. But I suppose there are not many folk that visit both forums.

Also, the default Invision forum is blue and when you've seen a few Invision forums, you get a bit sick of the blue.

Anyway, choose what you want. I may add more locos sometime.

I use the orange skin and I use Firefox so if you use another skin and browser, and if you have a problem, please let me know as I may not be aware of it.

Members that have problems remaining logged in must delete the old cookies set by the board. Then let the forum set a new bunch of cookies. This will keep you logged in if you wish to do so.

Members with negative messages, try sending yourself some PM's and see if that brings the negative to a positive number.
