QUOTE (frame69 @ 5 Feb 2009, 11:53) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Ha! Dont know if I mentioned but I use my layout as a workbench as mine is full. This is one of my other projects,50s/60s/70s cars, hotrods etc...
I can tell you nearly all you need to know about restoring a 1973 Formula 455 Pontiac Firebird....I rebuilt mine over three years from the ground up. My Brother and I still have a '78 Z28 original though. Compared to Railway modelling it's alot more expensive to run, back breaking work but equally satisfying.
What's in your garage???

Oh! by the way, a twin-set is a matching jersey and cardigan, one worn outside the other.

A very nice Cortina, and rare now....
I still remember the number of my old mk 1 Cortina...BGT 860B, it had three instrument clocks in the console, and a long reach gear lever.
I also owned a very rough Consul Capri circa '61. 2x Mini's, A Wolseley that had a starting handle, an old Triumph Herald, and numerous others...then I bought my first Mustang, a 1968 California car. I saw it a few years ago, and it was a different colour, but was still going strong. I had a host of others after that for years after, but you know how it is...times change as do finances etc., now I have a family, less time, but I still say you can't beat the sound of a well tuned V8 engine!!!! When I think of how much I paid for the cars then and what they're worth now!...Serious dough!!!
When I last checked, the Firebird was somewhere down your way in Kernow, its number is PGN 84L, she was Spectrum Yellow when I owned her, and if I can, i'll post a piccie on here.

All the best...jules

We have quite a few yank cars here because of the american airbase.

I am currently doing some wiring jobs on my layout and obviously trying to overcome some problems. The wiring of buildings and cosmetic items can be difficult to to do and hide all the wires etc.. When I start a new area Im going to fix foil runners for light power as these will lay flat in behind walls and floors.Anyone else used foil for power feeds?

Hi Andy,

Great to see progress on your thread here with lighting i can usually conceal wires in buildings easily glueing them into the corner of wall joins the two wires twisted into one to neaten it up one hole drilled in the base where its going & your done

Like the P42 loco on our photobucket account do you run it on the layout regularly ? saw a good decoder install on one recently.

Now that would be an advantage as it's a locomotive

Andy, you could always have them parked up somewhere on the layout, that is when you get round to building an N gauge one that is!!

Kind regards

After finding a lost boat which I started ages ago I thought I'd make some progress with it as the harbour is slowly coming together...
