Hi,I hope im doing this right. In new to computers so I apologise in advance for the many errors I shall be making. F ,o, t, water may not be the name of my layout but it will do for now, its 16 feet by 7 and a half feet, I realise now that i should have started a little smaller but things are going quite well at the moment. Ive chose this name for now because of its close proximity to the camel river. I was going to build padstow branchline but may leave this for when my club is up and running, this maybe in a friends building sited on the spot where one of the sheds used to be prior to its closure in the 60s.When ive worked out how to post stuff, pics of my layout should be there for those wishing to seeit,(plaese be kind as Im quite new to this) just noticed a few spelling errors

Hi and welcome to the MRF.
Please dont be shy about putting pictures on as I'm sure there are lots of people on this website that would love to see them.
It's always good to see what other modellers are doing on there layouts.

If you have problems uploading pictures just ask and someone will always be happy to help.

Keep us posted.

Kind regards
Paul
Welcome to MRF - I can only echo Pauls words & encourage you to post some pictures.

My girlfriend has a portfolio for her wedding stationary business so im going to talk her into helping me with photos as the ones ive done dont show my layout in its true light,(dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing)
Hi
Please do post pictures as they are great for inspiration!
Steve
Hi and welcome,

The name sounds a little GWR inspired (I used to visit Bourton on the Water often when I was a child)

Like others I look forward to photos.

Regards
Ive just realised that if you type in padstow model train on youtube you can watch a rather poor quality clip of some parts of my layout, Ive also got on to photobucket so time to take some better pics to post on here
This is the first bit of track on my new baseboard, just to try it out!

This is the begining of my station, left platform is a cut down hornby kit and right hand side is scratch built from wood etc....

Thats a good sized baseboard mate.
Looks like you are getting on with it anyway. Like the incline what ratio is it?

Kind regards
Paul
Hi Paul, the incline only lasted a couple of days, way too steep and it was in the early days of my track laying so was a bit of a disaster, Some more photos will be posted as soon as I get my lighting and photography skills sorted a bit better. Those pics were last feb. so alot has changed since then.
That's a nice looking curve through the station

Like the curve through the station - flows nicely.
Thanks chaps it took a few attempts to get it right, then I bought a couple of steam engines from a local fella and noticed that the front end of one of them just scrapes the edge of the right hand platform, but Im sure it can be sanded slightly without being too noticable. My dmu and class 24/37 cruises nicely at all speeds through there. Im currently building a canopy and over bridge for it.Just realised I need a better camera as photos from mine dont show things as good as they should. A few weeks back I altered an old piece of rolling stock to accomodate my mobile phone so I could make onboard videos but it got wedged under one of the tunnels so modifications are needed
(dont laugh but it took me a while to get it out) First time its been in a tunnel and kept its signal!!!
