Gützold is releasing one of my long time sought steam loco the Br56. Nohab.

Does anybody know if this model is DCC ready or not? ( i.e does it have an 8 pole socket )

I have asked Gützold ( even translated it to German by alta vista babelfish) but with no answer as usual.

Thanks
Baykal

Hi Baykal,

would you like me to call them on the phone and ask about the DCC socket?

Translating to German did no good, the Saxonian dialect is VERY different from "normal" German (just kidding, but there is a grain of truth in what I wrote).

You mean a bit like English (the proper version as used in England) & American English (just kidding too) ?

Now there's a bucket of worms!
Hello Baykal

I think these days its safe to assume that it has at least an 8 pin. perhaps even a 21 pin.

Peter
Hi Baykal,

I just got off the phone; it does not feature a DCC socket. Sorry.

Saxonian dialect is more like, if you´re used to Southern style American English like I am, and then you hear a strong Scottish dialect and you start to wonder what language the chap is speaking. It happened to me when I first heard Sean Connery in "The Name of the Rose"...

Thanks Tom for the effort,

I was afraid of that. Pity.
