Hello All,
63 years ago I had a second hand Horby train set, the three rail type.
1. A passenger loco the Duchess of Atholl with two passenger coaches.
2. A goods loco with different rolling stock.
3. Lots of track, points, cross track, buffers. Level crossing ( in box)
Any idea how old this set is? And has it got any value now, all the train set boxes have gone.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards
Peter

Probably manufactured between the restart of Meccano's operation post WWII and 1964 when the entire business was going under. You can probably find out more by looking at collector sites such as:

It will have modest value if the locos run and the models are in tidy external condition, there is still an active s/h market as you can see from the above link. You may be lucky and just happen to have one or two pieces that are now hard to find and thus sought after. ATB with it.
