I can vouch for the general repair capability and usefulness of cyano plus baking powder for a quick job. Very good for the old Bachman split chassis, especially where the chassis half plastic securing pieces had failed, but has wider general DIY applications.
Anybody know what the longevity of that style of gear repair is? I'd consider it a temporary 'gets you going' fix, while waiting for a replacement part; but perhaps it does better than that?
