I have just been reading about all the work you have done. Impressive but i will admit all the incline and radius technical stuff is well over my head.
But then i have not got into my layout yet. Still trying to absorb information i am amazed at how much detail people put into there layouts i will have to be careful not to put to much track down. and make it all to untidy some times it it best less is more if you know what i mean i am not to good at that.
I am just into the nostalgia of the old Triang era i suppose it comes from when i was a kid.
I bumped into a chap the other day who was a kid with me we were neighbours and in the school holidays my dad gave up the garden shed for the railway.
He used to come over and we spent hours in there, I hadn't seen him for 50years and we got chatting and he brought up the fun we had in that shed amazing after all those years.
I follow your progress with interest andy

So I've made some progress over the last few weeks. I decided to move the main 2 lines from the nearer inner side of the layout further along to the end by the door and bring the branch line into the middle of the room, effectively swapping the 2 about. I thought this would
give the 2 main lines a longer run, they would disappear out of sight and return from under the branch line and it would also give me more room to allow for the incline/decline. I also had to change the point layout and make the branch line cross the mainline.
I also thought this would give more interest.

I also picked up a Class 25 diesel with sound today from the model fair at Bridgwater from the Ray heard stand.

I'm going to add 2 girder bridges in here and have a river running down into the sea

I need to move the points nearer the middle of the board

The 2 access flaps down

Flaps up and fixed in place

The crossover

The return side

And some loco shots

Thanks for looking and a merry Christmas to everyone
Dave.

Cheers
