QUOTE (the volebender general @ 5 Mar 2006, 10:29)It is described as foam or depron:

It is designed for floors that require an anti- vibration underlay. Radio control flyers in Germany are already on to it, as it is very easy to use, very light and loves white glue.

This is the problem for you guys in the Uk though; I can only find German sites and I get mine in Denmark.

Depron is widely used by the electric flyers in the UK as well. It is not widely available except at specialist model shops. Mail order is a real problem as a standard sheet is 1800x750mm, costs about £3 & cannot be economically posted. If you want it posted one source I know is:

You can buy very large packs of Depron from UK underfloor heating suppliers but not from DIY sheds. One pack will last a lifetime for everything you can think of!Unfortunately small packs from model shops will always be more expensive but often more convenient.

In the UK we get 2mm 3mm 4mm & 6mm normally white or charcoal colour and (fortunately for fliers) not ribbed. Cyano (with a little pre dampening) sticks it whilst most contact adhesives dissolve it. You can get foam friendly Cyano but I have rarely found it necessary.

I am moving into an aeromodelling topic but if anyone is interested I will continue.
