Greenwich couplings for standard gauge ?

1147 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  John Webb
I bought some Greenwhich couplings to use on some 009 models and very good they are .Has anyone used these on standard gauge 00 models .It looks like they would work OK but I have only done a quick match up as to heights and feasibility .I have worked out a special fitting ,a small speaker spade connector ,to install them in NEM boxes.Has anyone tried them or is it a waste of time ?.I note the 7mm boys use them on ,I assume, narrow gauge equipment ,which is mainly 00 underneath anyway .I will hook something up ,no pun intended, and see if it works out on a couple of wagons .I also have the Sprat and Winkle to play with but the Greenwhich looks easier and possibly better .

I'm intrigued - what are these Greenwich couplings? I've never heard of them before. Any links or pictures available?

Thanks for that - I used to live in Woolwich next door to Greenwich hence my particular interest. I'd forgotten there was a Society based in Greenwich - I don't think it was about when I lived down there.
