Something to do with electrical current flowing through the track. When the upper level was installed it all worked, but now the lower level isn't working consistantly. The track is cleaned on a regular basis. The power feeds onto the top section, so maybe there is a bad connection somewhere, but I can't find it. Sods law says what is wrong is in the most inaccessable place or the last place I would look for it.
