Hi Guys,
I have a number of 'elderly' locos all fitted with hard wired dcc chips (Hornby) and have been considering fitting some with the sound chips. Has anyone any information on the pin out and/or one done this. Any info please.
Thanks in advance.

Assumin that you use ESU sound chips, they come with a wiring diagram.

As for hard wiring or plugging, I suppose that subject to space constraints pugging would be preferable. But that is a personal choice. All mine are hard wired so can comment if the is any difference between the two.

Cheers
